Director of Quality & Engineering

Joe Strunk is a distinguished aviation executive with over twenty-five years of experience in aircraft manufacturing, team leadership, and operational excellence. His career is defined by an uncompromising commitment to quality control and engineering discipline, honed through senior management roles at some of the world’s leading aerospace companies.  A practitioner of rigorous process improvement, Joe is Six Sigma Certified, bringing a data-driven approach to manufacturing efficiency and safety. 

Joe’s extensive portfolio covers the full spectrum of aviation manufacturing, having held major responsibility roles in the construction of agricultural aircraft, private business jets, and commercial giants such as the Boeing 747 and 787 Dreamliner. 

Most recently, Joe served for nearly five years as the Director of Quality & Engineering at Weatherly Aircraft. Prior to this, he was the Flight Line Manager at Cessna Aircraft, where he oversaw critical pre-flight operations. His tenure in the industry also includes senior engineering and manufacturing management positions at Spirit Aerosystems (Boeing), Electromech Technologies, Wesco Aircraft Corporation, and LMI Aerospace. 

He holds a degree in Business Administration from Butler Community College in addition to several FAA certifications related to aircraft maintenance, repair, and manufacturing.
